If you’re a Hyundai driver, we would like to draw your attention to a recall that might affect you. Hyundai is rolling out anti-theft software upgrade to help beef up security for almost four million vehicles. Eligible vehicles include a wide range of Hyundai models, including 2015-19 Sonata models, 2020-21 Venue models, and 2017-20 Elantra models. If you have any questions about whether your Hyundai vehicle is eligible for the software upgrade, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at our Hyundai dealership serving Seekonk, MA and Warwick, RI. We’ll be more than happy to help.

How do I get the software upgrade?

You can bring your Hyundai model right here to our service center at pride Hyundai of Seekonk. The software installation typically takes less than an hour, so we can have you back on the road and ready to go in no time.

What does the software upgrade do?

The software upgrade will help to improve security by modifying certain vehicle control models on eligible Hyundai vehicles with the standard key-turning ignition. Locking the doors with the key fob will set an alarm as well as an engine immobilizer feature so that a potential thief cannot start your vehicle.

Does my Hyundai already have an engine immobilizer?

Hyundai models produced after November 2021 and those with push-button start already have engine mobilizers. If you start your Hyundai with a key, we recommend checking to see if your car is eligible for a software upgrade.
